Grab your pajamas and sleeping bag and scurry over to Insectropolis to spend the night in our museum.
Experience fun, educational activities during your overnight stay. Activities include a touch presentation with live arthropods, guided exploration with our knowledgeable staff, meet our brainy Bug keeper, and witness a night feeding frenzy. Spy on our little friends with a flashlight and discover their nighttime habits. Then, relax and watch a bug movie on our big screen. The adventure ends the following morning with breakfast and a visit to our One Stop Bug Shop.
This fun-filled event is recommended for scouts ages 7-12. Our Night Crawl is scheduled for limited dates, but additional dates may be added if needed. Night Crawls have a maximum of 85 guests.

We also can plan a special evening event for your scout group September through March.
At Insectropolis, we love bugs and we love art. So we combined both and offered an art contest for children ages 5-12 to create original artwork inspired by bugs. In 2010 we received 600 entries in our Bugging Artist Contest from over 20 schools in our area. Every one of them was BUGTASTIC!
Visit us during the month of March where all winning masterpieces (along with many honorable mentions) will be displayed in celebration of Youth Art Month.
What a great way to start the summer! We host a fundraiser for Central Ocean Rotary’s scholarship fund. Our bugseum has added fun with cockroach races, face painting, scavenger hunts, prizes, and more. Special guests include the Mosquito Commission, Master Gardeners, and Cattus Island Park. All proceeds from admission will benefit Rotary’s Scholarship Fund.
Father's Day discount for Dads who come in with their kids or families. Everyone with Dad pays only $5 each. Thanks Dad for bugging us all those years!
Mother's Day discount for the Queen of your hive. Mom's admission is free!
